System and user requirements
AlexConnect, the software component of the Attaché Alex service,
has the following minimum system requirements:
- Pentium PC
- 32MB RAM
- 32-bit or 64-bit Windows operating system (Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows
NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista)
- 5MB free hard drive space
- version 5 (or later) Internet browser
- HTML-capable email program
- Internet access
- To create inclusions you need Windows NT, 2000, XP, or a later Windows operating system (not Windows 95 or 98). However, you can send inclusions from any computer that runs Attaché. If your computer uses Windows 95 or 98, you can create inclusions on another computer, store them on your network or on removable media such as a USB drive, copy them to the ALEX\INCLUDE folder, and then send them from your own computer.

In addition, to use the Attaché Alex service you need to:
- ensure that your Customer Benefits Plan (CBP) membership is
up to date
- establish an email account with an Internet Service Provider
- test that your email and Internet access are operating correctly
To view the Attache Alex website:
- 800×600 minimum monitor resolution
